Heat Pump (Mitsubishi Mini-Splits) experience in 03461 starting October of 2021.
3/2/2022 My electric bill for February arrived. I estimate that I've spent about $540 for heating since November. 1/29/2022 Hello. Here's my electric bill after switching from using my oil boiler to heat my house with a hot water baseboard system (with two zones) to two mini-splits. My house is 1800 square feet of conditioned living space, plus a full basement and attic. The first floor is 1200 square feet. The second floor (1/2 story) is 600 square feet. There is an 18,000 BTU mini-split on the main floor and a 9,000 BTU mini-split on the second floor. The house is very open concept and the only doors are on bathrooms, closets and bedrooms. I set the temperature for both units to 62 degrees. This results in 60 degrees in the hallway to the bedrooms on the main floor (furthest from the heat pump) and 64 degrees in the family room/office on the second floor where I spend most of my time.
